:-/ Anyone have ringing ears? Since my last cycle I have had the problem. I know this can also be caused by too many painkillers, but just wondered if it also can be a side effect of CH.

Can also be a result of sleep depricvation, if it happens in "bonggggggs".

Otherwise, check out simple things like inflammation of the inner ear.
You may treat that with lukewarm water with a little salt, hang upside down across the bed, with a dropper put a little in yournostrtil on the affected side and turn your head that way.

May help.

Could be inflammation, or could be caused by impaired blood circulation. I had ringing in the ears with my TMJ jaw problem, and still notice it when I clench my jaw.

Another possibility is wax build up. Cotton swabs seem to clean up the ear, but they can actually push some wax deeper and worsen the problem. Carbamide peroxide drops followed by washing the ear can clear the problem up easily if this is the cause - "Debrox" is the name of one product that is used for this.

Ear candles work great too...

Ringing can be caused by many things to include infections, overexposure to loud noises, etc. I have never had ringing in my ears that lasted for more than a minute or so. I attribute it to noise as I work in an industrial environment.

Tinnitus

sometimes cause is tension in the muscles of that area. Tinnututs is often found with types of headache that have a muscle tension component.

Physio can be a great help to that ringing. Only thing with physio is that you have to keep having it...

The muscle in that area related to tinnitus is called the 'Tensor Tympany' or something spooky like that. Tell your physio to loosen it up for you if the sound really bothers. If the physio helps then you know your tinnitus is reated to muscle tension. Physio often helps. Say 30% of the time. Sometimes doesn't.

cloen, if you try ear candles, they work GREAT. But,
don't open the candle after it's used. It'll make you sick to look at what came out of your ear [smiley=yikes.gif]
