Title: LAST ATTACK
Post by RAYMOND on Jul 31st, 2003, 5:39pm
MY FIRST CH ATTACK WAS IN APRIL 2002 AND LASTED ABOUT ONE MONTH AND WAS ON THE PAIN SCALE OF 10 MY LAST CH ATTACK WAS TWO WEEKS AGO ON THE PAIN SCALE OF 5 AND STOPPED LAST SUNDAY, IN 2002 MY DOC. AND NEURO PERSCRIBED ZOMIG-ZMT 5mg WHICH STOPPED THE PAIN IN ABOUT 15-30 MIN. BUT WAS HAVING ABOUT 3 ATTACKS A DAY AND AS YOU ALL KNOW THE ZOMIG IS EXPENSIVE AND THE DOC'S DON'T SEEM TO GIVE YOU ALOT WITHOUT REFILLING THE PERSCRIPTION, THIS LAST TIME I HAD SOME ZOMIG LEFT AND TOOK IT BUT ALSO CALLED THE NEURO AND HE PUT ME ON ONE WEEK OF PREDNISONE 20mg AND ONE MONTH OF VERAPAMIL 120mg THREE TIMES A DAY SOFAR I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ATTACKS SINCE SUNDAY AND HOPE TO GOD FOR A LONG TIME.

I DO HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT ANY OTHER TREATMENTS THAT MAY WORK AS GOOD AS WHAT I HAVE BEEN GIVEN OR BETTER.

PLEASE RESPOND OR EMAIL ME

THANK YOU
RAYMOND ;D

A treatment that would be better than what you're taking now that has seemingly broken your cycle? I guess take what you're taking now but throw in naked ladies and alcohol and that would be better.

As a chronic sufferer I am STILL looking for something that works for me.  Cost is not an issue for me.  I sincerely envy you.  Fortunately though, I have good insurance I guess for now.  The pain though...I just couldn't put a price tag on relief.

BTW caps lock is your friend  :P

Regards!

...I gotta go with Ted on this one.

Vera kept me PF for 2 years. I chose it after reading countless (ok...37) positive posts here and especially cause of it's reported lack of wierd side effects.

In my mind the doctor is still out on whether I should have stopped taking it to verify if I was in or out of "cycle"....because now I'm at 680/day and I'm back to where I was without anything (3-7 attacks / day).

There are plenty of other "preventative stories" about every kinda chemical cocktail you can imagine at this site. Pick and choose. Get ye to the archives.

It's a crap shoot. Butt if yer throwin 7's...why change hands?

Good Grief
den
