Title: Twitching eye... Post by Mwtllt on Jul 20th, 2003, 3:01pm Hello all, Its been a year since I've been here and a year since my last attack. My remission period runs from a year to 1 1/2 years, so I know its coming in the next six months. My wife and I noticed that my right eye has been twitching the last couple of days and we both remembered that this had happened just before my last cycle had started. I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience with their eye? Thanks, Mark |

Title: Re: Twitching eye... Post by HypnoticFreddy on Jul 20th, 2003, 4:03pm I dont know if I am about to start a cycle, but my left eye is twitching a lot. The left side is where I get my CHs. I believe the eye twitching is due to my new job, which involves a lot of computer work. Other reasons for eye twitching are fatigue, stress, and overall tiredness. Title: Re: Twitching eye... Post by Tessa on Jul 20th, 2003, 6:38pm I have always noticed eye twitching before a cycle starts. That is one reason I was diagnosed with Tic Delereaux for several years. I have twitching of my right eye, tearing, and congested nasal all on the side of my clusters. Usually the onset is minutes away. |

Title: Harbingers of the Beast Post by floridian on Jul 21st, 2003, 6:26pm I also get eye twitches before a cycle - usually a month or so before hand. Then my sleep gets weird... I find my self completely awake at 6:00 am, then at 5:00 am, then I start waking up in the middle of the night, then the beast arrives in full glory. Another premonition is a strange twinging in the feet and somewhere in the brain. I was at the twinging and waking up at the middle of the night, but after taking 5htp over the weekend, I was able to sleep normally. I started taking tyrosine as well to boost norepinephrine and dopamine. So far no clusters, but the summer is young! |

Title: Re: Twitching eye... Post by vig on Jul 22nd, 2003, 12:33pm I get the eye twitching as my first indicator that a cycle is ramping up. I don't get nightmares. (or dreams for that matter, I was told you have to sleep for those to happen. I make up for it by daydreaming!) |

And it is usually a harbinger of a severe flare up. It was twitching like crazy today and I've had to resort to imitrex so I'm walking on eggshells. I hope the verapamil holds... --- Steve |

My last cycle I was on Verapamil and did not have this problem - maybe because my headaches were not as bad because of the preventitive? Kim |
