Hey all....

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in....just started a new cycle (6 month cycle) and as you can imagine not pleased to see the beast return. Summer's too short and I'd rather dance with someone else.

Finally got my hands on some shrooms, I have been wanting to try the therapy for the last 2 cycles. Last night I summoned a headache with every trigger i knew, booze, smoking, tv in the dark..you name it, I did it. Took a while to come on (just like a cop..never around when you need one... :D.) but when it came it came hard. I dosed at the onset, didn't have a scale so just took a conservative amount, then waited.

I found a quiet spot and prayed for the shrooms to work. The headache was starting to hit full force and I worried that I had waited too long, that I hadn't taken enough, that it wouldn't work....scared that I had done something wrong and was about to pay!

About 20 minutes in, the pain started to subside, I could feel it start to go, then it just drained away...great feeling btw :). I had some very slight shadowing but compared to what I had set myself up for, I was thrilled.

Made it through the night p/f no problem, and have remained that way all day (usually would have had 3-4 by now). Like some of the others, I felt as though a headache was trying to come on, but being blocked, so getting just some faint shadowing but only for a short period.

My fingers are crossed that I will break this cycle, I'm prepared to dose again in 5-7 days just to be sure but so far so good.

For everyone that suffers from this curse, I would recommend giving it a try. The worst that happens is you catch a little buzz (not even sure if I was Level 1...just felt a bit disconnected and happy...all in all a good experience). The best that can happen is you tame the beast. Beats the hell out of all those meds.

Will update everyone on how things go over the next few days, hope it all good

1/2 dose once every 5-7 days works for me.
less after the beast is gone.................

Thanks for the tip ....wasn't sure if I did have to have one or not but thought it would be the best way to tell if I was going to have any results. Certainly good to know though!

Just wanted to update.....

Had some breakthrough CH's, a couple of bad ones. Dosed again after 7 days and things are looking good. Not sure that I broke the cycle, but has definately made this cycle far more bearable (if there is such a thing).

Fingers are crossed..will keep updating periodically.

Dave -

Thanks for the update. Sounds typical of the shroom treatrment so far. If the beast starts breaking through again, you may want to consider a third dose. Doesn't have to be a big dose. I like to keep the dosing to a minimum myself, you may find the beast will fade away on its own after a last gasp attack or two...but do what it takes to get pain free...

Forgive me if any of you are fed up with answering, or avoiding answering, this question, but I am among friends, yes?
I am interested in trying the 'shroom therapy, but I do not know where to start. I live in the UK and all the places that this site has indirectly pointed me to as a source of 'shroom (spores for microscopy purposes), are located in the US of A. Do any of you know of a similar company on this side of the pond, or are the USA sites willing/able to ship to the UK. Having a (distant) background in industrial chemistry I think the I could handle the growing harvesting and dosage OK, but I need something to start with - any suggestions?

Glad you are getting good results! It may take several more doses to break the cycle. I have had very good results for several years now. I have found that the 5-7 days is not written in stone. I can get off after just three days. But this seems to be different for everyone.

I just did a maintenance dose. Actually my second. One a couple months ago and the most recent a couple weeks ago. My cycle started at the beginning of August last year and I was able to knock it out with four doses.

One of the very best suppliers in the business is located in Holland, and will ship spores to the UK.

I know a few clusterheads who have bought from mushmush in the past and have had great success. They really are a topnotch supplier, and their site even has a ton of info on growing methods. Make sure you order spores of Psilocybe cubensis, NOT the other species. They carry several different strains of cubensis, but they also carry several of the more difficult-to-grow species of psilocybes as well, some of which cannot be cultivated indoors, and none of which are an easy project for the beginning cultivator.

Stick with a beginner-friendly cubensis strain such as Ecuador, Cambodian, Gulf Coast, or B+ and you'll do fine.
