Title: Changing Medical Insurance Post by Frank on May 24th, 2003, 8:24pm It's open enrollment time where I work... and I have three choices (all new to me)... Aetna of So. California, Pacificare HMO, or Blue Cross / Blue Shield of Illinois PPO (three PPO choices). There are a million reasons to choose one over the other... one of which is how they treat clusterheads. Does anybody know which one is most likely to cover O2 and Imitrex injections? And which is most likely to cover more injections per month? |

Title: Re: Changing Medical Insurance Post by forgetfulnot on May 25th, 2003, 10:34am All three of these company's have had fairly recent negative press I.E. denial of service allegations. I have Aetna but it’s a self insured plan through International Truck and Engine so it’s hard to say if your plan would be the same. Anyway I get six shots a month for a $15.00 co-pay. I found it cheaper to buy an O2 generator than rent tanks and all that so I’m not sure what there deal is on that, but these guys are running a little scared and if your Dr. orders it they can’t really refuse legally unless it is spicificly excluded buy the plan.
