My headaches are tolerable finally, but geeze, what a drag.

When I tapered up Topamax, I was having bad anxiety attacks and having bad brain lock and short term memory problems. Those settled down considerably when I built up to my doseage of 100mg/day and became tolerable.

Then I started tapering off depakote, which topamax was a replacement for.

Tapering off depakote is making made me wig out all over. I stepped down from 1000 mg/day to 500 and was having 6 to 10 bad episodes a day for a week where I really couldn't get a grip, and had trouble forming thoughts. Now I dropped fromm 500 down to nothing and am going through the same thing.

Has anyone else had bad mental side effects from tapering off of depakote (other than just depression)? ???
