Hi all!
Had a screamer last night. Took a Brazilian medication called Sumax (sumatriptane).
Worked wonders!

Sumax is marketed by Libbs in Brazil. It is the same drug as Imitrex, which is marketed by Glaxo in the U.S. Wonderful stuff!

After oxygen, sumatriptan is the most popular abortive for clusterheads. But it's really expensive. and there's no generic version.

How much does the Sumax cost in Brazil? Just curious.
In the US, you are only allowed to have prescriptions filled in one other country: Canada.

The Bush administration wants to stop that too. Seems it's cutting into profit margins for the big pharmaceutical corporations, who were big contributors to the Bush campaign.

Something interesting I have found for those of us with no (or not enough) insurance. All milligram amounts of Imitrex cost the same. I have found that the 25 Mg and the 100 mg cost the same, so you can buy the 100 mg and split them up to save on money. What this means is that what most of us suspected is true---GlaxoSmithKline is intentionally ripping us off even though we are suffering from the most painful condition know to man. Hopefully, none of us have done any thing that bad in this life and we won't have to deal with them while they rot away in hell. And yes----I really do hope some of you fucked up money hungry swine read this and realize how many people's lives you have screwed.
