i have obtained the myco environment bag and a syringe of cubensis spores but am not finding temperature requirements for the initial stage. any help?

Hi there tanner
A hot water cupboard would do the trick, I think. Some folks use heated rice bags and pack these around the bag and place the whole lot in a large chilly bin (not sure what you call them in USA but they are plastic insulated boxes often used for storing beer.
You could also use an old refrigerator with a lamp (light bulb ) of sufficient wattage to maintain the right temperature range - 21 to 27 degrees C. Do not exceed 27 degs.

I left my bag in my closet at room temperature of 70 degrees. It produced plenty.

Firebrix - we call it an "ice chest" or "cooler" but I like chilly bin better.

Speaking of that, what I did was get one of those plastic storage bins. Put my cakes (grew cakes but would probably work with the bag too) in the bin and placed an electric heating pad, set on low and wrapped in a towel, under the bin. Kept the air insode the bin nice and warm.
