Title: Does sugar affect? Post by athimmel on Nov 11th, 2002, 2:29pm Does anyone know if sugar intake affects CH? A friend of the family gave me a book about how sugar affects migraines, and said that it probably would do me some good. I tried to explain that migraines and CH are different animals, but this friend was insistent. I have not noticed big changes when I eat sugar, but that doesn't mean anything. It could mean that I am just not paying attention. Has anyone heard anything positive, negative, or neutral about sugar and CH? |

Title: Re: Does sugar affect? Post by Margi on Nov 11th, 2002, 4:34pm Do yourself a favour, and type 'candida' into the search button above, right. Very controversial here, but the connection between candida and clusters has been discussed here a lot in the past. Sugar feeds candida (it's yeast, right?) and we all have some amount of candida albicans in our gut. There is a spit test you can do at home, to see if you have an overgrowth. That same test was conducted here a couple of years ago and, surprisingly and alarmingly - a number of clusterheads tested positive. Some have found relief by killing the overgrowth with Diflucan or Lamasil. Candida manifests outwardly in a number of ways - sinus congestion, excema, gut problems, sensitivity to perfumes, regular headaches, etc. Interesting reading. Check it out. |
