let us know your results curtis........I for one know that sometimes during an attack (if I can stand it) if my husband massages that point that I can find on the left side of my neck.......it does help some.

Of course, like I said, if I can stand it......sometimes yes, sometimes get the hell away.  Again though it hurts, but helps........humph......go figure

Keep us posted,
EDNA

From what I understand Edna, this resembles classic Reflexology as described in lots of papers, sans Nasser's stupid "Jordi LaForge" shades.

It's often debunked but even a paper I read on the CSICOP.com page, (Committee for the Scientific Investigation Of the Paranormal) someone asked: "Does it cure anything? No. Does it feel good? Yes."  Go for it kids, it can't hurt.

Charlie you are a mean old man.  :)I need to read on this reflexology stuff.  Seems to get an eyebrow or two raised.

Hi edna, I think I may have incorrectly stated what I was receiving. I went to see a massage therapist at the gym.   While leaving the gym the other day I saw an advertisement for her services.  Figured hell my neck is so damn tight this can only help.  I get either migraine or tension headache towards the end of my episodes I am guessing tension.. They usually last for about 1.5 weeks the tension HA that is, then bang it is all over just as fast as it started.  The whole episode. Then I wait for the next time. Anyway she offered neuro-muscular massage.  Wasn’t expecting a miracle cure just some relief.  I went in experiencing my tension type headache and she went to work.  Girl what a difference, I was able to pop my neck the pressure in my ears was gone the tightness around the top of my head left, felt like a new person. Unfortunately on the way out the shadows hit me.  I have also started taking Magnesium.  It does seem to be doing some good. Since I started Mg the most I have had is shadows. Have not woke up once with my traditional CH in about 9 days now.  That is another post though.

I don’t know if I could stand what she was doing if I was in a CH though unless she could follow me around the room as I paced back and forth.

I know what you mean. My wife gets mad with me when I am having a CH.  I will tell her push right there then it seems to move, the source of the pain.  Even though I know my eye wants to explode there is just something in my neck. Never been able to figure that out.

Hope I gave you some useful info.

Actually, I wasn‘t being mean. It feels good.

Classic reflexology, from what I understand, is the idea that specific foot massage is the key to health. That there are areas in the foot that, much like chiropractic, relate to specific areas in the body and knowing how to massage or manipulate them, is the key to health.

Nasser here, was hawking some goofball head vibrator that has nothing I can see to do with reflexology.

I'm in for an Ueli tirade. I probably don't have this old thing right. As I say, it feels good anyway. This is one of the few things like this that at least has some benefit.

I have read a little on reflexology, might give it a try.  I do know for sure I will be seeing Beth next week HA or not.  Towards the end og the massage I was laying on my back and she had to stretch my neck.  Well,  I liked the part of her body she used for leverage.  Next week I am going to tell her the pain has moved to the front and it is all over my face. ;D I wonder if I will get the same stretch? ::) or slapped :(

Yea, I was wondering about that.  I set my appt at the front desk, but had to go through back door to get my massage. HMMMM, wonder if I could ask for more. :o

We have a regular massage therapist who comes to my company every week. I've been going every 2 weeks for that pain in  my neck & shoulder that always accompanies my clusters.  It helps a lot.  Last time I was there he mentioned a new type of massage therapy called Cranial Sacral where they just concentrate on your head.  I found a little bit of info on the web but I guess I would have to just start calling all the massage places around here (and we have a ton!) and see if they do this new kind of head massage (oh! bring on the saracastic comments!  ;D)
Hey, SFChris...remember when Jerry Rice got busted at that "massage parlor" in the Bay Area a couple years back??

Easy boys - that's my daughter you're talking about....
