Title: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by Bob P on Sep 19th, 2002, 11:28am Found it interesting that Doc Robinson stated at the convnetion that he has patients who use up to 8 doses of Imitrex a day along with 1080 mg/day of verapamil. All with no ill effects. While I'm on the Imitrex subject - I am in posession of 10 ea. two dose injector kits and 25 vials of Imitrex. All of which are looking for a good home. If you are approved by your doc to use Imitrex and are having a hard time affording or getting your insurance to cover enough Trex, drop me an e-mail. I may be able to help, thanks to donations from some very generous people. |

Title: Re: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by Drk^Angel on Sep 19th, 2002, 6:16pm Hey Bob... If you get more requests than what supplies let you fill... Let me know... I'm still sittin' on like 8 refill kits that I haven't gotten around to gettin' rid of. Now that I have enough for postage I'd like to find someone to give 'em to. Thanks. Title: Re: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by Bob P on Sep 23rd, 2002, 1:27pm Kristi, I was just in possesion of the stuff, it wasn't mine. It was actually donated by a nice lady from Washington and a nice man from the UK. Both of whom wish to remain annonymous. The giving nature of clusterheads! It hit me Saturday morning when I went to the post office to send the stuff to a chronic in New Zealand who is having a hard time getting enough meds. The customs form (geeze, another customs hassle) asked for the value of the package. I thought, $125 for 2 doses, 45 doses, YIKES - almost $3000 worth of Imitrex. Talk about generous. A heartfelt thank you to the people who donated the meds, you know who you are. |

Title: Re: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by Drk^Angel on Sep 23rd, 2002, 5:06pm Nope... Not awesome... Imitrex doesn't help me any, and I just had these left over from the last script I had filled. I haven't been having much luck on gettin' rid of them, because the ppl that said they wanted them never e-mailed me back, and a few ppl told me they'd rather I gave 'em to someone else. So anyone that wants 'em, they're still up for grabs... PFDAN................................. Drk^Angel |

Title: Re: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by kristi on Sep 23rd, 2002, 5:57pm What's awesome isn't the imitrex, or where you got it, or why you got it....it's how willing you are to help others, all the time.....that makes you awesome in my eyes, anyway. And I'm allowed my opinion, even around here. ;) ;D ;D ;D K |

Title: Re: Imitrex Usage - from the convnetion Post by cox3406 on Oct 6th, 2002, 4:55am Hi all, When I first got Imitrex injection from my Neurologist he demonstrated how to use the STATdose pen with a real vial squirting the contents into space as he described how to use the device. What a waste. One HA remedy on the floor of his office. I beg, borrow or steal samples from my Doctors and anyone else who may have some magic potion. I wrestle my HMO for what my condition requires to survive. You guys really have people out there donating medicine to help us? Other than the occasional sample from my Doctor I have never heard of such a thing, but what a gift it would be! I guard each dose I get with the zeal only a Clusterhead would know. DA, if you or any of you other Angels have access to some Imitrex or Zomig I would do what is necessary to aquire some. I have scripts for both and use them when needed (when I have it). Is there more info on this "convention" you all were talking about? Thanks, Mark |
