Title: Physical exersize during a cycle Post by islandtimefl on Sep 10th, 2002, 8:46pm I just started a new cycle yesterday and they last about two months with me. I'm retired for an unrelated medical condition and also physically disabled. I've been going to a gym everyday for about a month now but don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice or info? Do I continue to go to the gym? Do I slow it down or step it up? Any relationship in clusters and physical exersize? Thanks so much everyone, Robert in Kinston, NC islandtimefl@earthlink.net |

Title: Re: Physical exersize during a cycle Post by domm on Sep 11th, 2002, 11:31am Island - being a couch potato myself, I don't know. But the topic has been discussed / explored here in the past. Click on the search button (upper right) and type in *exercise , then hit enter. It will bring up lots of previous posts about CH and exercise. Good luck and I hope you cycle ends soon. domm |

Title: Re: Physical exersize during a cycle Post by Karla on Sep 11th, 2002, 1:11pm Some people have found that if they perform strenous exercise when a ha hits that they can abort the ha. However, for me this does not work. It is free and easy to try and I would recomend trying it and see what happens. You may be in for a suprise! Good luck. |

Title: Re: Physical exersize during a cycle Post by Marc on Sep 12th, 2002, 8:16pm Robert, I'm one of the lucky people that Karla was referring to. IF I jump on it as soon I get a hint that a CH is coming, I can abort them almost every time with vigorous exercise. If I wait until I'm hurting, there is no way I could even think of exercise! I'm chronic so I use this method a lot. For me, it only takes about 5-7 minutes of peddling by bike (hard) to abort a CH. Working out on a regular basis does nothing to prevent CH's from hitting me - but it's my best abortive! Good luck! |

Title: Re: Physical exersize during a cycle Post by LTBulllitt on Sep 16th, 2002, 6:01am When I'm on the bright side of the Ch cycles exercise is about all I ever do. It seems I need it to deal with anxiety problem and depression from the headaches. Overall I find this works (for me) by making my health better in general esp the blood circulation. I usually do weight training every other day for 2 to 3 hours then job on alt days. The problem I have found although it may only be another strange notion that forms during cycles that intense training works as a trigger. Heavy weight in general tend to give me an attack about 10-20 min after I finish. |
