Title: Re: Question for lithium users Post by Jim R on Sep 11th, 2002, 6:33am Hi Kari, I was on lithium last year. Not working this year (not uncommon, particularly with episodics). They usually monitor sometime after the 3rd day on it (it takes at least 3 days to build up in system) and depending on lithium blood level will increase/decrease dosage. Then, another level after another 3 days, etc. until in therapeutic range and after that only occasionally... Good luck. Jim R |

Title: Re: Question for lithium users Post by kaptex on Sep 20th, 2002, 1:01am I take Lithium every day, for the last 4 years, with some luck, in combination with verapamil. I had my blood checked 2 weeks after I first started it, then 1 month after that, then 3 months after that, and since then every 6 months. Wishing you PFDAN Kimberly |
