I was episodic for 7 years, before turning Chronic since Dec. 2000.

Last year, at the peak of my attacks, I tried the Shrooms a total of 4 times (from 1gm to 4gms. dried.). This was done after detoxing from all meds. except Verapamil.
However,they hardly helped, giving me a max. of 1 week of lower frequency and intensity, before reverting to thier normal pattern. At that point in time, no medication was helping.

After I bumped up the Verapamil to 720 mgs., I found a great deal of relief. Only the occasional breakthrough occured.

Unfortunately, I had to reduce the Verapamil from 720 to 480, due to other complications.
At this point, the Beast returned on a daily basis. This is when I decided to have another go at the Shroomns.

In March this year, I took 2 gms, with barely any effect.

One month later, in early April , I dosed on 2 gms. again.
This time, the results were great. I got ONE month of relatively pain free bliss... only the
occassional shadowing.

Ever since then, I have been redosing once a month with 1gm. of dried shrooms (achieving a level 2 trip), with similar results.

The Shrooms Rock and so does Pinky.

Sanjay,
Were all the shroom doses the exact same strain?
Was there anything different about that last dose...freshness, etc?

You seem to have hit the nail right on the head.
The March dose was from old stock ( 9 months old ), but same strain (P. Cubensis). After that, I have been shrooming on freshly recieved, dried stuff.

Do you know which strains of Cubies you took, like Equadors or B+, or puerto Ricans, etc?
Just curious on potencies, etc.

Congratulations on your success!

Interesting data for sure. When you dosed initially last year, maybe the Verap interfered somehow??? Do you remember at all what trip level you were hitting during those 4 doses?

Also, was there a significant difference in trip level achieved between your march and April 2 gram doses?

Yep .... the Shrooms are doing a great job.
I dosed again last week with 1 gm. and the effects kicked in about 2 days time.

Mast .. I'm think that the new batch was of the Mexican strain.

Rick .. I do not think that the Verapamil interefered last year. In fact at that time
I was on only 120 mgs. Currently I am on 480. I think that last year they were not
effective because I was at my worst then. Was getting hit 5-6 times a day, all 7+.
On the 4 occassions that I dosed last year, I reached from a level 2 to level 4. The level
4 was not a very nice experiance.
In MArch this year, I reached < a level 1, and a month later, it was a level 2. The March dose ws of old stock and had probably lost their potency.

Stec .. I dired the shrooms using Calcium Chloride as per Erowid http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/mushrooms_mmgg.shtml#Dry
and stored them in ziplock bags in a airtight glass jar, with Silica Gel bags inside.
