I saw this medication mentioned in more than one post. I was prescribed this steroid and learned of one side effect that, though it seems well documented, was notmentioned by the doctor or in the little printout from Walgreens. Dexamethasone can lead to a period of nonrefractory hiccups. For me, this lasted for two days, probably in part because I hesistated to check on the net to see if the hiccups were related. It was mostly irritating, but made the wedding we went to "interesting".
