Title: Thank You for a good day! Post by Ohmsx on Jun 29th, 2002, 9:38pm I've been lurking here since my current cycle started about two weeks ago, soaking it all in. I've had 4 a day (8's on the kip scale mostly), which sucked (duh). Maxalt works for me, but I'm running low and can't refill until Tue. So anyway, I read a bunch of old threads last night which advocated vigorous exercise at the start of a ch, and what do you know? It worked! Granted I probably looked pretty silly jumping out of the car and dashing off in a suit----twice! But that I can handle. I know its only been one day of relief, but thankyou MB. |

I know this site was a god send for me 4 years ago. Discovered my oxygen and imitrex, don't know how I lived without them before! Anyways, welcome. Mast |

Title: Re: Thank You for a good day! Post by rick on Jun 29th, 2002, 10:09pm O- Sweet! I wish it worked for me because I love working out. Heavy workouts for me when in cycle lead to brutal attacks that triptans won't knock down :P. I know that Bob P had some success with exercise for awhile, if you wanted to ask someone else about it. Peace-R |

Title: Re: Thank You for a good day! Post by Ohmsx on Jun 29th, 2002, 10:55pm Maria- Good Idea, I took my bike out of the shed and put it right outside my door , so it'll be handy when I need it. btw, in case I try this for the late night/ early morning one, what are your thoughts about men in boxers riding a bike? Rick, I hear you, maybe the beast just wants to deny us that which we enjoy. I hope you have tricks that do work. |

Title: Re: Thank You for a good day! Post by eyes_afire on Jun 30th, 2002, 12:38pm Whoa, very good Rick! I was going to quote from the tune Eve White/Eve Black: it hurts there's a pain, in my head i wish it would stop but it never stops i can feel it coming ----Siouxsie however the 'but it never stops' sounds too much like migraines. :D ;D :D |

Title: Re: Thank You for a good day! Post by maria on Jul 1st, 2002, 10:27pm Ohmsx, If you will be doing some serious bike riding, discard those boxers and invest in those tight lycra bicycle shorts with padding. My advise, only trying to help. Maria |

Title: Re: Thank You for a good day! Post by scottie on Jul 2nd, 2002, 10:16pm We all know what floats Maria's boat. LOL The only excercise that ever helped me was the head to floor bang. Hahaha. I never was a workout nut so that was about the last thing that I thought about during a dance with the beast. You know come to think of it sex had a pretty good effect on a mild CH. ;D ;D ;D ;D You just have to have a willing partner when the headache hits. PFDAN, Scottie |
