Hello gang......

MANY years ago when I first started using Imitrex - it was not the smaller stat does pen that most people are currently receiving from their pharmacy. The were still 6mgs and they still came with 2 injections, but they were full size needles in 2 separate containers within the same box. It came with a different sort of "gun" to administer the injection. You stick the entire syringe into this applicator, pull off the end and click the button.

Suggestion to everyone - instead of going through the Imitrex Tip on the left hand side with the stat dose, have your pharmacist order the older version of the injection and you can administer the correct amount with having to go thru all the trouble of marking, pulling on the needle, etc.

Maybe I'm way out there and this has been posted before. If so, I've missed it and apologize.

Let me know your thoughts.

Good tip Not.

Also, you can get VIALS of imitrex from the pharmacy. Mine had to order them. But each vial is 1/2 a ml, and I just insulin syringes and draw up 1/4 ml at a time...I even did a little less the other nite and it worked great.

Hey Mast - sometimes less is always more huh? ;)

I do have vials of DHE but not of the imitrex. Hopefully I won't have to use any of them for a VERY LONG time. My last med was on April 18th and I'm looking forward to a lot of med free time ahead of me.
