Title: Botox Article on cnn.com
Post by simpson1974 on Jun 18th, 2002, 10:03am
The link below is an article at cnn.com on botox and headache relief.  Thought it might be interesting.  It mentions botox and migraine/tension headache relief, but it (not surprisingly) does not mention anything about CH.  Just thought some of you might be interested in reading it:

Thanks for posting the article.  I think I'm going to try it next month.  The plastic surgeon that I do to who does it only does it a couple of times a month.  I will post an update if it helps (or if it doesn't).  At least my frown lines will be gone!

My insurance company covers botox injections for headaches, if your neurologist will recommend it.  However, mine won't.  He says that it only has limited success for migraines, and no real success at all for clusters.  I'm wondering if this is true though.  If anyone out there has tried it, please let me know.  Botox lasts for 3 months, and so do my clusters.  Botox has no side effects, but all the different crap I take does.  Botox seems ideal, I just need to know if anyone has tried it.

Gddyupn,

You might try clicking on the "search" link at the top of the page, as I think there have been some discussions about botox on this board.  It's certainly an interesting "possibility," to say the least.
