Hi Athos, i'm not sure, but I think bleeding w/indocine is something to watch out for and I advise you to call the dr. and let him know.  don't bug out, but just call him/her and let know of situation.  Keep the board posted!  Smile, Kim

I believe anti-inflammatories tend to thin the blood, so it wouldn't surprise.  I'm on Indocin and get nosebleeds (but I get nosebleeds even when not on Indocin ::)).  Applying vinegar inside nostrils helps me stop the really bad nosebleeds.

I am on indocin 75mg 2x a day.  I saw nothing in the insert on nose bleeding.  Just bleeding ulcers.  Talk with your dr or pharmacist and they could best advise you.  I am having no problems with bleeding.  Good luck.

For what it's worth.....

I've tried as high as 200-300 mg of Indocin per day for months. No side effects as long as I ate food with it.

My Doc said that it will not thin blood like aspirin. I don't know if he's right......

Look at:

www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/indometh_ad.htm ,

the last topic there is "miscellaneous" where you'll find, as a possible side effect of indomethacin, "epistaxis" = the medical term for nosebleeding.
