Title: DIY O2-Do I have this right? Post by Trooper on Mar 16th, 2008, 6:12pm Do I have this right? 1. Go to http://www.mushys.com/O2/mymask.html and order parts for non-rebreather mask. 2. Get on e-bay and purchase a regulator CGA 540 3. Go to welder's supply and rent an M tank full of O2 Will I need anything else? Will they question me about what I want the O2 for? Is it really this simple? |

You will be trying to oxygenate a Large tank (1,000 gal) of bait fish. It's experimental. Thanks. All the necessary parts are available from that site. You don't want an "M" tank. That's medical terminology. http://mushys.com/O2/O2tankchart.jpg Get a #4, or one that weighs about 75#. A 540 regulator is what you want. If you plan to use a "bubbler," you'll need one of the dual gauge puppies. http://mushys.com/pix/540reg.jpg You can't adapt a bubbler to a cylinder model (mostly.) It really _is_ that simple. RJ |

Title: Re: DIY O2-Do I have this right? Post by Trooper on Mar 16th, 2008, 7:56pm I did forget the bubbler! This actually does make some sense. I have been looking into making my own CO2 system for my planted fish tank so I would actually halfway know what I was talking about. |
