I'll have to check this article out, as I generally have access to all of these online via the university. And it pertains to me, since I am getting a stimulator in the next few months.

Far from proven, maybe - but can never be proven if people don't keep an open mind to it. I'm willing to try it, as absolutely nothing else has helped me. There comes a point.... If deep brain stimulation was safer, I would certainly do that - it would probably be my first choice due to the nature of my headaches. However, the ONSI (and for me supraorbital) is much safer, even if it is slightly less effective than DBS. I had really good results with the trial stim, and I expect even better results with the permanent one. I really cannot wait until I get this surgery and to see how things turn out.
