Title: Anyone else been prescribed Lyrica??? Post by MarkG253 on Jan 3rd, 2008, 1:06pm Hi there.... Just got back from my Doc's.... He wants to take me off of Topamax, which doesn't seem to be working anyway, and try Lyrica. Just wondering if anyone else out there is using this as a preventative, and what kind of luck they are having with it. Thanks in advance. Mark G. p.s. I've been a member for awhile, but haven't posted.... Also got a new email address So... I had to re-register as a newbie |

Title: Re: Anyone else been prescribed Lyrica??? Post by Karla on Jan 5th, 2008, 2:36pm I tried lyrica as well as neurontin which both do the same type of thing when it comes to blocking pain. Neither worked for me. I think it is resonable for you to try it. I hope it works. |

I have not picked it up just yet...anyone on this and what are the side effects? My doc says "tiredness" which is no stranger. |

Title: Re: Anyone else been prescribed Lyrica??? Post by Garys_Girl on Jan 19th, 2008, 1:58pm Tiredness is a common side-effect of lyrica. It is another anti-seizure medication. Gary's doc described it as an updated version of gabapentin. I know several people here have used it with success, though for Gary and others it hasn't done anything. Many were happy with the sleepiness thought. Unfortunately, it didn't help Gary sleep any. Laurie |
