Post by schaan on Nov 21st, 2007, 8:18pm
i take atenenol and the pharmacist told me that verapamil in conjunction with atenenol can cause severe low bp?

anyone else had a problem?

just started verapamil today  and  havent noticed anything as of yet,  but ????

i might have a bp checker given to me tommorow so i can monitor,

I'm no doc, but i know they both can cause a drop in blood pressure. Might wanna keep a REAL close eye on it!!

Best wishes,
Adam

both have the same function-like taking two anti-depressants, or two triptans.  Hmmmm...what dosage of verap?  Many here are at 960mg or more a day.

best wishes for a PFDAN
kathy

Clearly, one of those issues requiring your doc's attention and advice. I suspect that you could drop the aten., start the verap, while monitoring you BP.

But first sentence is the core.
