Yep, with Lyrica! Kevin has been headache-free since being at his current dose of 150 mg twice daily. Has anyone tried this med, and if so, what was their response to it? Thanks, and pain-free wishes! Leah.

Hi Leah! That's awesome! I haven't tried this med yet but am curious about it. What side effects is Kevin experiencing?

that is great.i had a pain free period with lyrica for 20 days on september.the same dosage with ur husband in combination with verap 360mg total 3 times the day.unfortunately i had an awful pain stomach (which keeps going sometimes) and after the 20th day heavy shadows and episodes in a row.i cut the verap with neuro cause to pain stomach and switched it to tegretol.lyrica holds the same.i ll wait a month to see if it works.i think lyrica deserves a second chance.does ur husband take only lyrica or also verap with it?any stomach pain?i hope really it is the solution for him.many pf wishes and good times for u.keep updating this post if u can.

So far so good. He has had one break-thru in a month now. He complains of being drunk all the time, but that's about all, no stomach pain. He is still active outside, fishes a lot in the pond, and works on his rollercoaster too. He only takes the Lyrica, and drinks lots of Cherry Pepsi. Pain free wishes, Leah.

What absolutely wonderful news!!!!!!!!!!!!! *clap* *clap*

I'd seen it mentioned several times on the board, so we asked the neuro about it. And here - most people said the main side effect was feeling sleepy - which, at this point, in and of itself would be a wonderful thing!

Hasn't worked for Gary, unfortunately. Took two months to ramp up to the "give up" dose of 200mg at night and 100mg in the AM. Stayed at that dose for a while, but is currently detoxing off of everything. The Lyrica didn't even make him sleepy that he noticed.

But I'm so glad to hear it's working for your hubby! I know it's helped others here too.
