Title: Re: O2 assistance in Cambridge UK Post by southwalessunshine on Sep 19th, 2007, 6:46am it's a lot simpler than you would think. Go see your doctor. If he agrees to prescribe it to you he will send a HOOF form to the Air Products guys and within a few days you will get a call saying they are on their way. The enginerr who delivers it will go through how to set it up, how to store it and what the asfety implicationa are. You fill in some forms, and one of them is for them to notify the police that oxygen is stored in the house incase of fire or emergencies. You will be told not let it leak onto soft furnishings and not to smoke by it. You will also be given an info pack that says exactly what the enginerr has told you and it has a sticker for the car to display should you be transporting it, and a note to tell you to let your car insurance company that you will be carrying it. It's not as scary as it sounds. The one thing I would tell you to do, is arm yourself with info and printouts about the benefits of 02 to give to your doc when you go to request it. my doc didn't know much about 02 being used for CH so i went back a few days later with as much info as I could gather to give him and I got the 02 a few days later. Good luck . |
