Title: FROVA Post by Tom_Thumb on Aug 29th, 2007, 9:23pm After 7 weeks of exhausting all other efforts, went to Dr today and he gave me some new samples to try. Anybody heard of FROVA? I've been having clusters since 1982 and this is the first time I've ever heard of this med. My drug book says it "results in vasoconstriction and agonist effects on nerve terminals in trigeminal system."......."reduced signal transmission in pain pathways." I have not tried this yet. scared of rebounds from this drug. Does anyone know???? |

Title: Re: FROVA Post by E-Double on Aug 29th, 2007, 9:46pm It is not really a fast acting triptan like zomig or imitrex (sprays and injections) however some state that it appears to have some preventative qualities. This is due to it having a longer half life. It may work for ya. good luck |

Title: Re: FROVA Post by birdman on Aug 30th, 2007, 1:37pm I used it years back when I couldn't get enough trex due to insurance problems. Used up the trex and then went to Frova. It worked but not as effectively or quickly as trex. Had to almost predict HA time and take in advance, as a preventitive. |
