I went to the store tonight to grab a pack of smokes, I was at the counter about to pay and the coolers in the back caught my eye. I decided to walk back there and check out the energy drinks.  I was reading the labels for a minute and decided on trying Monster low carb. I've tried Red Bull numerous times to no avail.  Opened it up in the car and slammed it back.  When I got home, the shadow was getting stronger so I decided to hit the o2 for a few minutes and it semed to take it away. Walked back upstairs, watched tv for a few minutes and it started to come back.  I decided to grab my trex just incase. Waited about 5 or 6 minutes and *Poof*, all gone. It has now been over an hour and I feel nothing but hyper as hell.  My wife is actually in histarics at the way I've been acting.  I am very excited that it atually worked.  This has started a whole new ball game and the score is Clusterhead-1  Beast-0

Sorry for bragging but I had to share the news!!

Now, with all that new energy you have, you can come to my house and do some painting, stain my deck, cut my grass or any of the other projects I started but never finished. ::)

Sheeeooot, thats like the Nuclear Bomb of energy drinks,  just has to send the beast running for cover, you might want to get some new running shoes mate, or take up astronomy. No Matter, NOTHING feels as good as killing a hit, apart maybe from the confidence of knowing that you can kill the next one too.

BTW, you should have seen me after my first Red Bull... Man, I was up at 4am - and I had taken the drink at 2pm the day before... [smiley=laugh.gif]

Just to let you all know, I had another monster low carbs yesterday at around 4pm after my head stopped hurtin and I was able to go to the store.   I have not had another hit yet and its almost noon.

I can't begin to tell ya how good it felt to wake up at 7 in the morning and say, did that really just happen?  Lets just say I'm pretty damn excited!!! ;;D

no i havent. But these monster drinks seem to be doing the trick. Just had my first hit in almost 24 hours on my way home from the grocery store. I stopped at the crner store again and grabed another one, chugged it, then booted home to my o2 and within 5 minutes on the o2 it was gone!

I installed if 4 different times and not a twitch. Goota be fried somehow! tried 3 dif sticks of ram, bare, cdrom no cd rom, tried pretty much everything and screen stays blank. llight comes on the board though.

if it has onboard video use the onboard first then add the videocard once you get to the os did you hear any beeps?

alright then send it back to the manufac

or google how to flash the bios but I'm thinking that you may have accidentally damaged it with static electricity by not wearing an antistatic wrist strap

or the place that you purchased the part from handled it without an antistatic wrist strap it happens alot

Ok I have given up on that board and I am sending it back to asus. This is what I just picked up from newegg

thats not bad for the price but you could have gone dual core for much less including shipping and tax

I'm not a big fan of asus boards or amd/ati but nvidia chipsets are good

I wish you luck with your new build

Remember to remain grounded at all times (touching the case or antistatic wrist strap)

do not place parts on the antistatic bags (only on an antistatic mat) or in the case leave them in the bags untill ready to use

check the cpu and board for foreign matter anything that should not be there and

I'll have it in two weeks! ;;D

I shoped around and couldn't find a better price then that other then fleebay, but i won't buy motherboards or cpus from there. Tiger wanted 350 for the same thing!  Thats all i need for now anyway.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to pick up a wristband before i install it!

that couldnt have been a very good processor because they want 185 for the procesor i just bought alone!

Thnaks for the other info!  I've built a bunch of systems in the past, just never worried about the static, I have a shop in the basement with concrete floors so i never really worried about it. I guess its always a possibility!

actually intels pentium D is better than amds athalon 64 because it has 2 execution cores allowing you to do twice as much  the athalon 64 was out 2 years before dual core and cpu technology changes fast athalon is the better 1 core but 1 core is not better than 2 or 4
amd dose have dual cores but they are not as cheap

intels core 2 duo and core 2 quad cpus are even better but intel is cutting prices to kill amd/ati competition

even tho you have a concrete floor if your shoes are loose your sock is moving inside your shirt and pants are moving causing friction

and antistatic bags have 2 layers one may have a static charge one may not so if you touch the bag get static on the outside and then remove the part place it ontop you just damaged or killed the part and as you know parts are not cheap

So many computer stores will tell you they are safe because they have no carpets but its a lie and even at fairly good stores I see employees touching parts so
be carefull where you buy parts and where you take your pc's to

did not know the athalons came in dual core owell I stick to intel because it works for me more often than amd's I use to use asus when I started building computers now I use Intel and Gigabyte Nvidia and Xfx

and I was right it was not as cheap....even more expensive after you factor in a dead board and shipping that back to asus
