Just wanted to share my meeting with my neuro today where I told him about using seeds.

Last time I was there I was on 480mg Verapamil and still had nightly CH that I used Trex for. He wanted me to increase the dosage to 720mg to try and get me through the night.

I told him I was doing good and was sleeping through the night and was down to 240mg Verapamil, with just shadows during the day. He was very happy with the progress and thinks I may be going into remission.

I then told him I was using glyconutrients to taper off the Verapamil and now after using the seeds, I was sleeping through the night. I explained what the seeds were and presented him with the Neurology report about Mushrooms, LSD, and Cluster Headaches.

To my surprise, he immediately told me I was NOToff base and there were a lot of chemical similarities with Ergotomine. I then presented the paper on the Indole Ring and we reviewed the chemical make up and he was very excited about it!

He asked for copies of the papers I presented and I told him they were his. It was great to see how open he was and genuinely happy he was with my progress.

Since I've been in this cycle for 4 months or so, he said it could just be that the cycle is winding down, but he agreed that it appears to be more than coincident.

It was great that he didn't dismiss my claims, in fact he started telling me other stories of how other treatments were found by comparing the chemicals in different drugs.

Anyways, from my experience, I would strongly encourage others to talk to thier neuro about any alternative treatments you are taking. He did advise that I monitor my blood pressure as I did this and taper off the rest of the Verapamil.

I like to say thank you to all here who have shared their experiences and knowledge about this affliction. I am still not out of the woods, but I feel like I have an alternative to all those nasty meds.

I cannot tell you how happy I am that you have a Dr. who not only listens to you but is totally on your side.

My friend you are a blessed man indeed. If you haven't already, would you mind posting your Dr. name here for others in your area?

Bill,

This is great news. Many doctors are offended that someone would dare do research that may challenge their own methods. To find one that is open to new ideas means he is more interested in finding relief for you and less interested in his own ego.

What Kman said!!!!! A doctor that will listen is worth his weight in gold! If you can please go to the link Linda left you and put his info out on the board for others. Congrats on the great find.

My Neuro is also very cool. He is young (30ish) and really listens to me. He was so impressed with the info I took him to read from this site.

He asked me on my last visit "what do you want to try next, Barry?" I said o2 and up my dosage of Verapamil. He checked me out and said no problem with both requests.

I am so blessed to have him as a Neuro, so publicly I want to say THANK-YOU Dr. Foell, you are number one in my books.

I will put him on the list for anyone who needs a true , caring, compassionate Doctor in our area.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I have posted his name on that site. He Dr. Joseph Schmitt in Loveland CO. He was also the first one to diagnose me with this problem. I actually had an unnecessary deviated septum surgery, by a different doctor, prior to having the correct diagnosis.
