Hi all!

What will be the best way to take Neurontin? All in the am or evenly distributed during the day?

1800mg total per day .

Dr sez its immaterial , but I feel more benefit when taken in one go early am?

I am concerned about the long-term effects of taking it in one go ....

Your views on this ?

Hey Estie, welcome fellow Souf Efrican!!

I know squat about Neurontin but I am sure that some of our wiser members will be able to assist. Just had to say Howzit and welcome, even though it sucks that you have to be here!

BTW I guess if the doc says it doesn't matter then you do what works best for you

Hey, my BF took it for a while. He said that it put him in a very drowzy/strange mood. Also (hope this is not being inappropriate) he said that it made it very hard to...well.... climax.... Bad for him... good for me HEHEHE [smiley=sgrin.gif]

Hi Estie. I was on Neurontin for 5 years. It took about 3 years to ramp up to 1800-2400 mgs a day, but it also took my body a long time to get over the side effects at each increase. I really don't suggest that you take 1800 mgs at once, as it can cause drowsiness, and a mild feeling of intoxication at lower doses. I generally took a 600 mg 3 or 4 times a day.
