Title: Kudzu Update? Post by Marine1 on Jul 17th, 2007, 4:03pm Hello, Ive seen a few post here about a pill form extract for Kudzu. Ive looked into it as something else to try but I would really like to get the input and feedback from those who are using it and how it continues to work for them. Someone had gone 2 weeks with only 1 hit? Has anyone tried it and it not work? I was skeptical of the whole Redbull thing till I sucked one down and then hit after hit it stopped em dead. So if your are trying or been using please post here the good and bad. Thanks, Marine1 |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by nani on Jul 17th, 2007, 7:29pm Hi Marine. I haven't used it in a while...but here's a collection of most of the early kudzu testimonials. There are links at the beginning of the thread to a bunch of other threads. Hopefully, newer testers will be along with more info. http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=meds;action=display;num=1110584362 pain free wishes, nani |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by liquidsuspension on Jul 17th, 2007, 9:21pm when i first started taking it, it helped a lot. it immediately made my pain less intense. the longer i took it, the more it helped. i had to get on a routine with it. then it ended my cycle. i think i grew immune to it though. this cycle it hasn't helped at all. i was taking a small dose daily, for about four months in between cycles. when this one hit, i started taking more kudzu without any results. i may try again once i've been off of it awhile. so i guess i would say use it only when in a cycle, and then stop when you're in the clear. |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by TxBasslady on Jul 18th, 2007, 2:32am I took it for 9 months... It worked great for me. Justa little info....I took Nature's Way...I took 2, 3x's a day without fail. Important thing is take it at the same time every day. The first couple of weeks on it, I got some pretty bad hits. After that, my hits were far less severe, and less in number. It appears to have had a long lasting effect for me. I quit taking it Dec of '05. I'm able to control 100% of my CH with 02. What hits I get are still less intense...and they've been farther apart than ever. Kudzu doesn't work for everyone....but it's the best thing I ever took for my CH. Wishing you lots of good luck....and lots of PF time. Jean |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by Sympatico on Aug 2nd, 2007, 10:58pm Hi, Last Fall after my cycle went "on"! I decided to quit taking any meds except Zomig spray to abort the one that woke you up at night to switch to Nature's Way Kudzu at a doseage of (2x) 613mg three times a day and it reduced my attacks from (1x) Kip10 a night to about 2 a week! It had better result on me than Verapamil that i took 2 years ago when i got diagnosed! Since my 2 last cycles started exactly at the same date a year apart, this year i've started to take it a week before the date from last year so we'll see! A lot of PF day is the dream of every CH! See ya! |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by Callico on Aug 22nd, 2007, 4:20pm Sempre Fi Marine 1! I've been chronic for about the last 3-4 yrs. Started taking Nature's Way Kudzu 3x a day about 5 mos ago. Within a couple of days I saw a significant decrease in the level of hits and in about 2 wks they were gone! I've been basically PF for the last 4 1/2 mos now with only an occasional breakthrough of a shadow. I haven't had anything higher than a K3 in 4 mos. For the last month I have cut back on the dosage to 2x a day with out any significant difference. Haven't had a Red Bull in over three months other than to try to stay awake to drive. (That doesn't even work for me anymore :() Jerry I don''t know who it was that discovered this works for CH, but I owe you a big one! Also to Nani for her work to educate us about it. Hope to meet you someday soon and express my thanks personally! |

Title: Re: Kudzu Update? Post by Sympatico on Aug 24th, 2007, 8:21pm [smiley=headbanger.gif] August 24th 2007 Kudzu rules [smiley=laugh.gif] Up to date no sign of the Beast... Some small shadows not even close to the kip scale! Diagnosed periodic, 3 years ago, i've tried meds like Verapamil, Imitrex pills/nasal and Zomig nasal... I discovered Kudzu 1 year and 1/2 ago but did not feel the full effect because my cycle was already started... :-/ This year i started a week before my cycle was suppose to start and by the grace of God it kept the Beast away... Still feeling the sour neck but i could deal with that for the rest of the cycle with ease! ;;D For me 2 pills 3 times a day did the work, that's the maximum intake recommended by the company so i tried the full intake to start and noticed a change after only 1 week! :o I recommend to try the Kudzu root extract pills to anybody that i know who have to deal with the pain we suffer when in crisis! Lots of pain free days to all of you!!! |
