Title: topical anesthetic Post by JLY on Jul 15th, 2007, 5:00am I've begun season 31 of visits from the demon. Since the last season the biggest change for me has been a heart attack late last year - which means imitrex is NOT an option anymore. What I've had to resort to and what so far has made things at least semi-managible is tooth ache cream, like Dr Sheffield's.. Smear the stuff all over my gums and at least the tooth pain is blunted, I can deal with the temple, eyeball, sinus pain fairly well.. it's always been the teeth that really really got to me so badly I'd be interested in hearing what others with cardiac problems have to offer. All the best to all of you :) |

Title: Re: topical anesthetic Post by Ray on Jul 15th, 2007, 2:15pm Sorry for the hits and the inability to use the triptans. My first thought is to use Oxygen at 12-15 liters per minute. I am unaware of what pharmacological options are available to you post heart attack. Wishing you a PF time, Ray |

Title: Re: topical anesthetic Post by Patrick_A on Jul 16th, 2007, 5:12pm Get in touch with ClusterChuck. He can help you as he has a heart condition also. I would imagine oxygen might be your best abortive now. PA |
