Title: what works for me.... Post by big_b on Jun 3rd, 2007, 12:26am i've had them for about 8 years, usually in the spring for a couple months, and what has absolutely worked for me is the medication ZOMIG...i break a 5mg pill into fourths($30 a pill!!),and at the slightest indication of a ch i chew one,and i can keep one from even starting!also at night i take one as a preventative before i go to bed, because my most common time is an hour after i get to sleep.....if i do get a ch,i think the duration is shorter, but i have to wait for the pill to work, and you know every minute is an hour during those happy times!!good luck to everyone,b. ps....ask your doctor for samples!!! |

Title: Re: what works for me.... Post by Gator on Jun 3rd, 2007, 9:54am I'm glad you found something that works for you. Have you tried any of the preventative meds to try and keep from having the attacks in the first place? For me, $21.50 refills my welding oxygen K tank. With that and my clustermasx, I can kill about 50 hits, depending on how long the attacks take to abort (usually under 7 minutes). That's about 43 cents per attack!!! If that doesn't work, I use a half shot of trex. Thankfully, the O2 works in most cases. |
