Title: O2 information needed Post by Erika on May 15th, 2007, 3:08pm ok - I will try to be short winded - not an easy task for me...... we bought the welders oxygen I printed the O2 supplemental guide to help me understand O2, which I know nothing about. foolishly tried to talk to a medical supply house only they wouldn't talk without a prescription (didn't mention to them we were using welders O2) went to the internet to find the mask, regulator, and bubbler. that is where the problem arose further...... mask - easy - buy a clustermasx - problem solved regulator - hah - so many to choose from and will it even fit the O2 tank we got from the welders shop?? And all the talk in the guide I am reading confused me as to what I need - demand flow or constant flow. Question 1 - I need constant flow with the clustermasx, right? Question 2 - other than being up to 15 lpm, is there anything else specific that we should be looking for? Question 3 - is anyone else using welders oxygen? He bought a Q size tank - does that make sense? What do we need? Bubbler - ok - I could only find one that had an emergency blow off at 6 lpm, that won't do. Question - where do you find one that goes up to 15 lpm??? basically I just need to figure out the regulator and then find a bubbler and we can stop risking explosion (cause he will stop huffing it) thanks!!!! Erika (and to think - this was the short winded version - sorry guys!!) |
