Hi everyone.  A friend came across this site today.  Any thoughts, comments?  I know nothing about the ingredients, so I would greatly appreciate your input.  I guess like all of us, I tend to look at everything a little skepticaly.  It looks expensive, so that is currently a concern for me, but if it might work, as you all know, anything is worth it. Thanks.

I just noticed that there is a link on the bottom of this page.  I did some more looking around, and the link is also on WebMD.  It look like the company is in Scottland.

$79 a month for 2 months. A little research would show that atypical episodic Clusterhead cycles last around 8 weeks. You take those pills for your 2 month cycle and your CH's end. Problem is, now you think those pills are the magic cure to stop a cycle and you won't even ask for a refund. ::)

What’s the betting the study is never posted?

The Scottish postal address is a mail-box (Mailboxes Etc UK) and a UK google of  "Scotland Health Solutions" (the purported company name) came up with nothing.  Finally, their style of writing is certainly not UK based.

I also think someones trying to make a few fast bucks based on the cyclical nature of our syndrome; but I hope I'm wrong.

Curious that one ingredient is Rauwolfia, which contains a chemical called reserpine.  Injections of reserpine can trigger migraine, according to Goadsby and others (and I presume it might also trigger CH).  Not sure if smaller, repetitive doses could desensitize one to the same effect, or what effects the other ingredients have.  

Any word on the amount of Rauwolfia in the preparation?

Some reason for scepticism - especially for episodic CH.  Could it have an effect on chronics, or people with migraine?  Maybe - not enough information given.  There are elements here that sound fishy, but not really sure.

Reserpine apparently has a narrow therapeutic window, and a great many drug interactions.  It has been banned for therapeutic use in a number of countries.  An herbal concoction that contains an unknown percentage of reserpine is not something that I, personally, would choose to ingest.  YMMV.

Purified reserpine is a tricky, and often nasty chemical.  Whole Rauwolfia is more balanced - it contains other chemicals that offset the negative effects of reserpine.

My original question about the dosage was linked to this - some countries regulate Rauwolfia but allow a very weak homeopathic dose, which is unlikely to have an effect in my opinion.

I get so fucking pissed at ppl that try to get rich on other ppls misery. First of all it says that it takes 2 months to reach full effect, MAN I would be going crazy after just one week. For episodic sufferers it would be just stupid as (At least for me) the cycle usually ends after 8 - 12 weeks. The beast wont back down from a pill made from beetroot, grass seeds and whatnot. Stay away from it is my advise. I think it says it all that they haven't put up a clinical study yet.
