Looks like it ... both are classed as calcium channel blockers. Raise the red flag with respect to combining this with Red Bull or taurine. |

Title: Re: Nimodipine ?? Post by pubgirl on Jan 13th, 2007, 9:31pm Do you know if it is an old drug Jonathan? If it is, it would suggest that it has been tried but that Verap was better (or cheaper ;;D) Wendy |

Hi Wendy ;;D I tried this one over 20 years ago. If I remember correctly, I had a difficult time standing up and was constantly buzzed. It was much more side-effectual (how's that for a new word) than verapamil ever was. I believe its a much more active drug than verapamil. As to the cost.....here in the US, it would be more widely prescribed if it cost MORE, not less. ;-) Rarely used for clusters.....surprised to even hear the name again. Bobw |

[smiley=laugh.gif] Yeah, man I forgot about that...they were. That was in another lifetime and I have trouble remembering THIS one. No disrespect, really, but I still get a chuckle when people report that they've tried *everything* and then list a dozen meds. For those that never tried Nimotop, it's not a Transformer Action Figure.....it's one of those "cluster meds" borrowed from other treatments for conditions that are only as closely related as a 3rd cousin's illegitimate stepson. Hiya W, Well, I could but as you know, what's good/bad for this goose isn't always good/bad for any old gander out there. Bob Does the size of my list really matter? ;-) |
