Title: verap & Melatonin ?
Post by TonyG1 on Jan 7th, 2007, 8:38pm
I was looking at drug interactions and decided to check out verap with melatonin... came across the following and wanted you alls thoughts:

Avoid using Melatonin as a dietary supplement while you are taking Verapamil. Melatonin may reduce the effectiveness of Verapamil and increase the blood pressure.

Thoughts please ??

I would have to think that with the high doses of verapamil that most of us require, that the fluctuation cause by the melatonin wouldn't make much of a difference.  Just my  [smiley=twocents.gif]

I am not a doctor however I personally would disregard that entire line of info........

All of the experts in the field suggest both.

Good luck and BTW I used to take 640 of verap and 12mg of melatonin daily and I have only died 4x

I am currently at 720 mg verap and 3-6mg melatonin.  Been pain free for 16 days.  No unusual side effects.

Thanks Eric -- Will probably add the melatonin back to the nightly diet ... sometimes it seems to work against me ... others it works for me...  If you've died four times already... what the worse that can happen...  ;;D ;;D
