A friend at work gave me a bunch of Zomig 5mg. pills has anyone tried them? I really need them . I don't know doses either I cant seem to find a proper dose for CH. Help. I havent slept but 4-5 hrs total in 2 weeks

Triptan pills are pretty useless, unless you take them before an attack. The Zomig lasts for a number of hours so it may be useful to say take before bed if you get nighttime hits. That's something you want to check with your doctor though.

Those who type...no matter what they say...give only their opinion...including me.
For me...you bet yer ass they work. I let that sucker melt under my tongue and wash it down with coffee...I found the Zomig nasal spray much faster...but when the Z pills are all I got I eat them gratefully.

Just out of curiosity, are those the quick-melt tablets? I never tried those, but the regular pills never did anything until it was too late. I'm a big fan of the Zomig nasal myself. They became a lot more effective once I realized I needed to counter-intuitively shoot it up the nostril on my unaffected side., otherwise the drippy nostril fought the spray.

I've had the Zomig rapimelt tablets for the last couple of years,they do work........eventually! Found myself taking loads of painkillers on top of them coz they don't work fast enough! On Imigran injections now and Red Bull :)

I have been a chronic sufferer for 10 years now. During attacks where nothing else works, and I have tried many many things, (Verapamil is a constant) the Zomig nasal spray is a life saver, and it works within about 20 mins. You usually have to fight the insurance companies for a supply, but the fight is worth it. A good doctor will know how to do it. Good luck. Madaline

both Imitrex AND Zomig worked for me, but with different results;

Imtrex stopped the current attack,
Zomig stopped about 12 hours of attacks, so if it takes a bit longer and you miss the benefits on the first one, but make it up in stopping the next 4 or 5, then it could be worth it even if it's pills.

Get the nasal spray if you can.

My sister who has migraines swears by those. I prefer Imitrex or maxalts. The Maxalts also disolve under the tongue.

Thank you all for your reply's. We have had some tough weeks and finally got some imitrex today, but, I will try the zomig when I'm out again and see if it can help at night.
