Title: O2 ??? Post by pfunk on Dec 18th, 2006, 2:21am Just curious? I remember hearing someone sya that it could be just as good to use welder's O2. I have just started getting my CO2 from a local welding company for my restaurant. I was thinking about asking them if they could get me O2 tanks as well. If they can do this for me, is it hard to connect the hoses/mask to the tank? Pfunk |

Title: Re: O2 ??? Post by nani on Dec 18th, 2006, 9:37am Pfunk... why have you gone guest? :( I hope it was accidental. I use O2 from a welder supply place. I purchased a new tank (you can also lease them), got a 540 regulator (you can find them on Ebay), and bought a clustermasx. I believe you can purchase a non-rebreather mask from a medical supply place. It works as well as medical O2. pf wishes and hurry back, nani :) edited to add: you can't tell them you'll be using it as medical O2...they wont sell it to you. |

Title: Re: O2 ??? Post by Sandy_C on Dec 19th, 2006, 1:17pm If you are going to go to your local welding supply company and ask them for a tank for you, you had better not tell them you plan to breathe in the oxygen. They legally cannot do that. Just go buy a tank and get it filled. You don't have to tell them anything, but if they ask, just say you plan on doing some welding - build a fence, heck - you are a sculptor and are planning the newest, biggest metal piece of art for your local park. In other words, lie like a rug. |
