Title: Stopping the pain Post by suz181946 on Nov 27th, 2006, 6:53am Try using a brown paper lunch bag, crunlch the top small enough to breath in and out of. It's something about rebreathing your own oxygen. It will take 5 minutes of more of constant breathing. This works for me, hopefuly it will for you too. I keep a bag on my night stand at all times. This may sound wacky, but I would try anything to get rid of the horrible pain. Let me know if this works for anyone. Susie |

Title: Re: Stopping the pain Post by brewcrew on Nov 27th, 2006, 7:09am Actually, this is the prescribed remedy for hyperventilation. What you're doing is capturing CO2 in the bag and rebreathing it. We breathe in O2 and breathe out CO2. Best of luck if it works for you. Personally, I'd feel like I was suffocating if I did that during an attack. Best, Bill |
