Title: BC Powder Post by Brenza on Nov 5th, 2006, 12:56am I have had some luck taking sudafed and using a Vicks Sinex inhaler before I go to bed. Then when the headache wakes me up I take a dose of BC powder and wash it down w/ a couple of pints of water before the pain gets to full strength. It seemed to mello the monster for me. -Tim |

Title: Re: BC Powder Post by pattik on Nov 5th, 2006, 1:03am Hi Tim. I'm not sure what BC powder is, but I have used sudafed once in a while during the day for minor headaches. I'm glad it works for you. Can you elaborate a little more about your headaches and what else you may have tried? patk |

Title: Re: BC Powder Post by georgej on Nov 5th, 2006, 1:03am What is BC powder? Welcome, Tim. Some here have reported some success with taking benedryl at night as well. Tell us a bit about yourself, and about your headaches, eh? Lots of experienced and knowledgeable people here who are ready and willing to answer any questions or concerns you might have. Again, welcome, and pull up a chair.... Best wishes, George |

Title: Re: BC Powder Post by BikerBob on Nov 5th, 2006, 2:02am Which of these three BC Powders is it? http://www.bcpowder.com/Products.aspx If it's the Original Formula BC Powder, which contains... Aspirin 650 mg Caffeine 33.3 mg Salicylamide 195 mg The 33 mg caffeine may be helping, but that's less caffeine than a cup of coffee or a Red Bull. If it's the Allergy-Sinus-Headache BC Powder, which contains... Acetaminophen 650 mg Chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg I don't see how it could be much help for CH, but if it works for you that's great :) BB |

Title: Re: BC Powder Post by Sandy_C on Nov 5th, 2006, 3:33pm Being born and raised in northwest Ohio, I never heard of BC Powders, or Goody's either, until I moved to NC. (must be a Southern thing) I think it's pretty much an aspirin compound, in powdered form that you open the little packet, sprinkle the stuff on your tongue, and swallow it. I have a very close friend who swears by it. I've never tried it, but I guess it gets in to your system faster than the good old Bayer tablets. My friend says it tasts awful, so I'll stick to Bayer. :-/ Sandy |

Title: Re: BC Powder Post by seasonalboomer on Nov 6th, 2006, 8:41am used to try them in the earliest days of my CH. could never stand the tase, or the aftertaste. since I like the taste of red bull, I'd rather go with the redbull for the caffeine and taurine kick. Scott |
