Title: Re: ending a cycle Post by Richr8 on Oct 25th, 2006, 1:02am Three days? Good luck hon. I don't know of anyone haivng cycle that only lasts a week or two. Can't give you a quick fix, but hang around and you'll learn many useful techniques to help deal with the condition, and maybe get you some relief. Dive in and read all that you can. Ask questions when you don't find the answers you need, and ask for help when you need a shoulder. When your feeling better, jump in and help others. There are no miracle cures here, but lots of great folks and info to help you weather the storm. welcome to our famly, |

Title: Re: ending a cycle Post by Beastfodder on Oct 25th, 2006, 8:01am The only thing that's ended my CH cycles has come from the alternatives school. Check the link out for clusterbusters on this site. For the record I've been episodic for around 10yrs. Last three I've used alternatives. First time killed off a typical 11 week cycle 8 weeks in. That was nice. Next year was a little over three weeks in all and right now I'm about two weeks in. Just got 5 pain free days between doses and finger's crossed that it'll be over pretty damn soon. Might be too late for the function this week - maybe some O2 is a better short term bet if you've not tried it before. |

Title: Re: ending a cycle Post by rickyshot on Oct 25th, 2006, 11:56am I had a head injury at 6 years old and the migraines plus cluster headaches did not start till I was 30. I would definitely frequent your neuro to make sure nothing else is going on. Sorry for you. Read all the info here on the meds board and the links on the side for treatments and info. It is too early to tell whether you will be a chronic sufferer or episodic. Episodes last usually from 6-14 weeks. |
