Title: anyone get imitrex/imigran vials?

just like an insulin vial, a rubber stopper on top through which you poke the needle and draw up the juice.  simply inject it into stomach or wherever.

is anyone using these vials?  i can't determine if these are available or on the market...

have an opinion or experience on this?  thanks

I have heared of them before- never seen them though,
you sound like you have experience with them - yet you ask if they are available on the market  [smiley=huh.gif]  :-/

Yes.

I got my Rx filled via Wal-Mart (yeah - I know all about Wal-Mart - but they're convenient for me.)

The vials come 5  to a box. 6 mg (0.5 ml)  in each vial. I had the product ID number somewhere - but can't find it right now. The pharmacist shouldn't have any trouble looking it up.

Wal-Mart provides syringes, needles, and a sharps-disposal pak "free" with your order. They set-up phone refill - Rx delivered to my door for me. Can't beat how easy they made it.

I found that drawing up 2 vials at once (in a single syringe) made splitting the dose easier. I got relief from about .2 ml of solution. That was 5 doses from 2 vials. I was careful about handling/storing the syringe/needle and used one syringe/needle for 2 vials - then I discard the empty and load a new one. Needle stayed sharp.

I used my belly as injection site. Taking care to shoot as far away from my belly button as I could  reach. Close to the navel frequently resulted in a little bleeding under the skin and a bruise. (looks bad in a two piece bathing suit)  :) :D

Be advised - this damn stuff is expensive! If you don't have a prescription plan on your insurance - the cost will make your eyes water! I learned (accidentally) that there's a huge mark up on this medication. (on the order of 90%) but all the retail pharmacies do it. Shopping around may save a $ or two - but probably not much.
