Melatonin, 9 mg 30 minutes before bedtime. Takes about a week to kick in for me.

Caffeine, as soon as you feel a hit coming.

Oxygen if the caffeine didn't kill it.

Hi John, welcome. Can you tell us how you're taking them? We may be able to offer some suggestions to improve the efficacy.

I had some relief using Orudus KT (Ketaprofin). It is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs similar to Ibuprofin (Motrin) and Naproxin (Aleve). They say to try all three of these at different times, as one may help a given person more than another depending on your makeup. I've found the Naproxin works pretty good too, and it lasts 12 hours according to the label. I usually start on one of these at first sign of shadows or tightness in my jaw and temple in attempt to sneak past a cycle. It seems if I can keep a full blown attack from breaking through, the cycle never gets going!

As most of us know, you don't want to take these (or any meds) in large quantities or for long periods of time as liver damage can result. Also, I used to take asprin like candy - it eats a big hole in your stomach! I don't think it did much for the cluster headaches either. Rich
