I am averaging 1 Maxalt a day and 1 at night but sometimes end up taking three a day, morning, early evening and middle of night. Is that too many and what can happen if I start averaging 3 Maxalts a day?

Heart attack.

I believe the standard is one as needed, to be followed by one as needed no sooner than two hours later. Never exceed 2 doses in 24 hours.

Have you got yourself a big bottle of oxygen yet? If not, get your doc to prescribe some mucho pronto (10-12 liters per minute through a non-rebreather mask, as needed).
