Title: The Beast is Back....ARGH! Post by Bond007 on Aug 14th, 2006, 4:57pm At least I got about a week that was relatively painfree. Apparently, my body has adjusted to the increase in meds my neuro prescribed. It all ended Friday night when I got hit with some nasty HA's back to back. Saturday was awful, too. Sunday was smooth sailing, though. Probably because I doubled up on my Frova Saturday night so I could go out to dinner with friends. I'm sure I was still vaso-constricted all day Sunday. My tongue, finger tips and toes were a little on the "numb" side. ACK! Today I was just a plain mess. Oh well. Now, it's off to the gym to try to get a good workout in, then home for a quick bite to eat, then I've got to dash off to play rehearsal. Something's gonna do me in, I just know it!!! :-/ |

Title: Re: The Beast is Back....ARGH! Post by Sandy_C on Aug 14th, 2006, 5:22pm OK Bond, James Bond (God, I'm picturing Sean Connery right now - sigh! ;;D). Sorry, I'll behave now. I'm sorry you are getting hit, but I'm happy to see that you aren't letting CH rule your life. You are still going about "business as usual" as much as you possibly can. Sure, there are times when you just can't do it - but when you can - do it with gusto! Hope you have a great evening with no pain, and a PF night. Sandy |

Title: Re: The Beast is Back....ARGH! Post by Bob_Johnson on Aug 14th, 2006, 10:05pm Unfortunately, it's all too common for meds to stop being effective for ???? reasons. The medical literature and messages here are full of such experiences. The only option is to start a series of trials to find someone new which works. Here is a link to read and print and take to your doctor. It describes preventive, transitional, abortive and surgical treatments for CH. Written by one of the better headache docs in the U.S. (2002) http://www.brightok.net/~mnjday/chtherapy.pdf |
