Title: cardizem (cartia-generic) use Post by bambina on Jul 19th, 2006, 10:41pm :)Has anyone used Cardizem (Cartia-generic) to help with less amount of migraines? This is a med for heart patients, it is supposed to lower your blood pressure and is supposed to be a calcium blocker. After more than 6 years of migraines(all kinds), 5 neurologists who only prescribe antiepileptic drugs, herbs, accupuncture, accupressure, meditation, etc... I had 18 migraines in May 2006!!! the worst of all times. I take Imitrex 100mg. and it helps but sometimes I get the migraines for 5 days then they stop for two etc.. I started the cartia in JUne and had 8 migraines. Now in July I have only had 3, and I am very excited for not having it but also concerned for taking any med. I also seem to have much energy. I also take clonazepan (for anxiety) who said I was anxious, I am just a worrier! After a pulmonary embolism 2 years ago I ended up with anxiety. Anyway I am able to sleep well for the past month after I have started the new med. Anyone tried it? Please comment. Thanks |
