Title: Re: Question on Trex spray Post by Kevin_M on Jun 18th, 2006, 8:13pm Same as Tom K here too, Totka. I've had it covered for many years and always carry it to work or use it at night when oxygen alone can't keep it down long enough. Particularly when the waking hits can be tough for O2 to put down. Insurance should be ok with it, adequate quantity in a cycle unresponsive to preventatives is usually challenging. best to you Totka |

Title: Re: Question on Trex spray Post by Karla on Jun 19th, 2006, 5:21pm I have had several insurances pay for it but I have also had several insurances (all) limit the amount of imitrix I can get or they will pay for a month. Meaning most will only pay for 6 a month. Others will pay for 6 pills, and 6nasal spray, and 6 injections. Which is a way to spread it out. A few insurance companies will pay for unlimited imitrex as needed but that is rare. |

Title: Re: Question on Trex spray Post by maffumatt on Jun 19th, 2006, 5:36pm Read the following artical and follow all the directions. It worked for me. Do not take no for an answer. When you are talking to someone and they tell you the FDA limits the amount they can provide, ask for the persons name you are talking to first and last. Tell them that is a false statement, and that you are going to hold them personaly accountable for denying you medication that was perscribed to you by a doctor by quoteing non existing Federal Guidelines.Tell them the only limitations set for the amount of use is set by Glaxo Smith Kline and that is 1Ml in a 24 hour period. Also Be sure to tell them that you do not suffer from Migraines but from Cluster Headaches and treating them the same is a medical mistake and malpractice. If you can not get the answer you want from one person ask to speak to their supervisor, then their supervisor, keep going up the food chain. If they have a Dr on staff, DEMAND not ask but Demand to speak to him, when you do, ask him how he can change your doctors orders without examining you. It will be frustrating and may take awhile but you will get what you need. If you have to get hostile do it. They want you to bend over and take it like a man, don't be their bitch. http://headaches.about.com/cs/advocacy/a/trip_limits.htm |

Title: Re: Question on Trex spray Post by Katherinecm on Jun 20th, 2006, 10:30am Um, it does if your policy was written here in the USA, but in Hungary? I have no idea. Try calling your insurance company to ask them. If you don't like the answer, see what advice your doctor might have and if he/she knows anything about your right to get medications and right to have pain relief there. |
