Title: Morning Glory seeds?
Post by Mattrf on May 4th, 2006, 9:50pm
I just read a thing on CNN.com about kids eating Morning Glory seeds and getting a magic mushroom type high. So have anyone of you shroomers tried them for CH?
If it worked it sure would cheap and legal I mean what’s a bag of flower seeds 75 cents.
Just a thought.

I did a quick search on google and there are a bunch of web sites that tell you how many to take.

The Morning Glory link just says coming soon so there is no info.
I just wanted to pass this along incase it might be a help.
Since I have SUNCT and not CH I don't think it would be helpful for me or I would try it myself.

The most commonly used seeds to date, and the ones with the most data collated about them are Rivea Corymbosa or RC and Hawaiian Baby Woodrose or HBWR as they are usually abbreviated to. Both have a pretty good success rate to date although it is my understanding that the RC are easier to prepare.. I have only used RC seeds myself.
I wouldn't like to say if they would or wouldn't be helpful to someone with SUNCT, you'd need to speak to someone more knowledgable than me for that info.
One of the "clever bods" will no doubt be along soon, if you have any questions, post them so they can be answered when they get here  :)

The information about morning glory seeds is in the "LSA FAQ" and "LSA" sections of the site Helen posted - www.clusterbusters.com

It says this about morning glory seeds and CH:

"Morning glory seeds (certain strains). Contains some other chemicals with undesirable side effects. Seed hulls contain a chemical that produces cyanide compounds, and it is too hard to remove the hulls because the seeds are small and you need dozens for an effective dose. Some commercial seeds are coated with pesticides. Can be effective for clusters, but not recommended."

A much better source of LSA for treating CH is Rivea Corymbosa seeds, which don't have the problem chemicals and undesirable side effects
(see the LSA FAQ).

SUNCT is closely related to CH, so all the evidence suggests that the alternative treatment may work just as well for your condition.  Please read all the guidelines at clusterbusters before considering the treatment though.

It would be great it it works for SUNCT too - let us know if you do consider this treatment, and just shout if you've any queries.
