Title: Taurine Trial Post by Barry_T_Coles on Apr 19th, 2006, 10:50pm Having read a fair bit here about Taurine and successfully used Red Bull as an abortive for low level hits I feel it’s worth giving Taurine a try to see if it will reduce or cease the shadows. I went chronic after my last episode & have been shadowing for the last 14 months 24/7 & having low level hits. I have been able to acquire from my local Health Shop some Taurine capsules that contain 200mg with the instructions of taking 1 cap 3 times a day with meals. I have created a form in Excel ( that I cant seem to get to show here ) to log parameters I think are pertinent but before I get to far into the trial I would welcome your comments on what may be added to enhance the final results. What I have put on the form is: Date, Capsules taken/day, General well being as in shadow intensity, hits on KIP scale, Time hit start & end, abortive used, Alcohol Y/N, Other Meds. I am not expecting to see any result for at least the first week or two but if things do change either way I will keep you all updated. Kind regards Barry |

Title: Re: Taurine Trial Post by Garys_Girl on Apr 19th, 2006, 10:58pm Taurine did not appear to help Gary with the shadows, but it definitely helped with the magnesium digestion. He's got so many troubles with his tummy (and other digestive functions) to begin with. But he's also been using Taurine for just about a week. Good luck, and please keep us posted! Laurie |

Title: Re: Taurine Trial Post by Jasmyn on Apr 20th, 2006, 4:05am I have found that most Taurine drinks do help to abort a shadow but then again so does coffee. Most Taurine drinks do have added caffeine. It would be interesting to see the results of your trial. Keep us posted. |
