have any of you gotten any bleeding in the ear on the same side of the headache?? the blood doesnt pour out, but if you stick a q-tip it will come out with blood, it stops by itself and comes and goes, was wondering if any of you experienced this, and it is always the ear on the same side of the headache, and do any of you know why this affects the ear and what could help? i do get alittle freaked out when i see my ear bleeding!! thanks

What does your Doc say about that?

Nothing to do with cluster. Possibly the result of too frequent and/or too aggressive cleaning the ear canal with a cotton tip probe. If you clean too often, you remove the protective wax in the canal and also change the PH balance which can lead to tissue irritation.

Rarely does the ear need cleaning beyond turning the ear into a warm shower stream for a few seconds.

no i dont clean my ear with a swab often, so any ideas on why this happens would be much appreciated, so it has nothing to do with the headache??

The problem is beyond our experience. But, in the absence of pain, recent infection, or mechanical injury, I'd be inclined to do nothing until your see your doc next time.
